Your account is automatically set-up for 24-Hr. Bank-By-Phone access. When you call in, be prepared with your account number(s) and follow the instructions.

The system will recognize you as a new user and will prompt you to enter a code that will be familiar to you as a temporary PIN. You will then be given instruction how to set-up your own personal PIN.

You can call Customer Service and they will reset your password to the original default PIN and when you dial in again, just follow the instructions for setting up your new password. You can access several levels of financial information from your account, as well as information about products and services from American Bank. You can get current balances, cleared checks and historical information about your accounts and loans. You can transfer funds between your accounts at no cost. You can schedule a statement to be sent by fax to the number you designate. You can get information about rates and products. You can get information about locations and bank hours. You can report lost or stolen checks, ATM cards and debit cards. You can use the loan calculator to help you plan payments and length of loan – before you apply.

If you have more than one personal account you can register online through our Electronic Banking Registration (click on the gray box on our home page) to sign-up for transfers between your American Bank accounts. You will need to register for each account that you want linked to your transfer group – which can be done in one registration session. Business account holders will need to sign a written transfer agreement, which can be obtained from any Personal Banker, Cash Management representative, or your bank officer. (Some accounts have a legal limit for the number of transfers you can make.) Once you are set-up, you can call in and the system will request that you enter your special 6-digit PIN for your transfers—simply follow the verbal instructions.

After calling the main 24-Hr. Bank-By-Phone number, press 1 for English, 2 for Spanish, then press 1 for Account Information and Funds Transfer. After the next instructions you will then press 4 for Fax Statements, and you will be asked to enter your account number and your PIN. Follow the verbal instructions to choose whether you want a fax sent now from Checking or Savings, to schedule a fax later from Checking or Savings or to delete a scheduled fax from Checking or Savings. Then enter your fax number with the area code.
