American Bank has announced its expansion into San Antonio by adding a seasoned, local group of bankers with deep roots in San Antonio to serve this market. Joining the bank as San Antonio Market President is Jennifer Wilkinson. Members of the San Antonio team include newly-hired officers Barrett Tondre, Senior Commercial Lender, and Teree Jendrusch, Commercial Lending Officer. Dana Syring has also joined the team as Client Relationship Associate. Rounding out the San Antonio group is Clayton Hoover, an Assistant Relationship Manager who has already been working with the bank in the San Antonio area. Making the announcement was Stephen C. Raffaele, President and Chief Operating Officer.
The bank’s arrival in San Antonio is part of a five-year strategic plan announced early in 2018. Jennifer Wilkinson is a career-long San Antonio banker, having moved to the community shortly after graduation from TCU in Fort Worth, Texas with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance. Immediately prior to joining American Bank, she managed corporate and commercial banking in the San Antonio and Austin markets for a regional bank. “Jennifer is highly regarded – and highly engaged – in the San Antonio community and exemplifies the qualities and values that American Bank is known for. She has the heart of a community banker and excels at building long-term relationships, which are the hallmarks of American Bank,” stated Raffaele. “With the addition of Barrett, Teree and Dana, we are positioned to hit the ground running in bringing American Bank’s unique style of relationship banking to the San Antonio area,” he added.
Barrett Tondre’s banking career has included experience with underwriting and managing specialty finance portfolios and working collaboratively both domestically and internationally to extend credit products to clients in the Central Texas market area. He is actively involved with the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo, the Alamo Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America, and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Texas A&M University in College Station.
Teree Jendrusch began her banking career in San Antonio as a credit analyst, after graduation from Texas A&M University in College Station with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. Most recently, she served as a Commercial Associate working with Relationship Managers, Lending Managers, credit partners and clients throughout the entire lending process, and provided credit underwriting support for the lending team.
Clayton Hoover joined American Bank in 2015 as a Credit Analyst. Currently an Assistant Relationship Manager, he will continue to serve in that position, with responsibilities supporting the new San Antonio lending team in data analysis, credit request preparation, and identification of opportunities to grow relationships with existing clients. He holds a Political Science/Business degree from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas and a Master of Business Administration from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio.
Dana Syring has 30 years of banking experience, with 21 of those years in the lending function assisting lenders with loan closings, corporate syndication and real estate loans, as well as coordinating office management, business development and client events.
