American Bank is pleased to announce the addition of two new American Bankers in the Austin community: Margie Petru as a Treasury Management Officer located a the bank's Westlake branch at 3520 Bee Caves Road, Suite 200, and Karla Swann as Trust & Asset Management Business Development Officer located at the bank's Downtown branch at 620 Congress Avenue, Suite 100. Making the announcement was Stephen Raffaele, President and COO of American Bank.
About Petru and Swann
Petru’s experience includes over 25 years in banking, with 17 years as a treasury management officer and ten years in business banking and commercial lending, all in the Austin area. In her new position, Petru will work to provide the highest level of expertise, products and integrated solutions to fit the unique treasury management needs of commercial, non-profit and governmental entities. Petru holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Texas, Austin. "Margie’s extensive treasury management expertise will help our clients better manage their businesses as they grow," said Raffaele.
Swann’s experience includes over 15 years in trust and wealth asset management positions in the banking industry as well as solo practice and special counsel legal positions in the practice area of wills, trusts, estates and real estate transactions, primarily in the Austin and Houston markets. She has additional experience in marketing and public relations. In her position with American Bank, Swann will work with clients to achieve their investment, retirement and estate planning goals in collaboration with the bank’s other experienced Trust and Asset Management professionals. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Public Relations from the University of Texas, Austin and a J.D. from St. Mary’s School of Law, San Antonio. "Karla has a reputation for providing great customer service and tailoring financial solutions to best fit her clients’ goals and aspirations," Raffaele added.
