American Bank has significantly expanded its presence in San Antonio by hiring a well-known team of wealth management and trust professionals. Making the announcement was Donette Stubblefield, Managing Executive, Wealth Management. Susan Wiesner has joined American Bank as Senior Managing Fiduciary Officer, Trust to lead the team in San Antonio. Wiesner will manage the bank’s San Antonio trust team which is composed of Aaron King – Senior Fiduciary Operations Officer, Trust; Candace Tottenham – Senior Fiduciary and Compliance Officer, Trust; and Conrad J. Netting V – Senior Fiduciary Officer and Legal Counsel, Trust. With over 60 years of collective experience providing customized solutions for Central Texans, the newly established San Antonio team will offer comprehensive trust and wealth management services across American Bank’s Central Texas geographic footprint.

In January 2018, the bank announced a five-year strategic plan designed to leverage its strength as a community bank and its reputation for solution-oriented banking relationships. One of the key elements of the bank’s vision includes growth and investment in existing markets such as Austin, Corpus Christi and Victoria, coupled with expansion into new markets including San Antonio and Houston, both of which took place in 2018. The bank more recently announced plans to expand its San Antonio office from a Loan Production Office to a full-service business and consumer banking branch and move to a new location in the spring of 2020.
Wiesner joins American Bank with over 25 years of fiduciary services experience. Most recently, she served as the Division President for Jefferson Bank Trust in San Antonio. She began her trust career as Trust Operations Associate for Republic Bank, followed by her time with NCNB, the Texas Department of Banking and Bank One Texas Trust. In 2001, she joined Jefferson Bank where she served in various capacities until being appointed Division President in January 2017. Wiesner graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance. She is a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) as well as an Accredited Estate Planner (AEP).
