American Bank’s San Antonio operations have expanded from a loan production office to a branch offering full-service business and consumer banking solutions as well as Wealth Management, including comprehensive trust and fiduciary offerings. In conjunction with the expansion, the office has relocated to 200 Concord Plaza Drive, Suite 120, in the Concord Plaza office building at Jones Maltsberger Rd. and Highway 281. Making the announcement was Jennifer Wilkinson, San Antonio Market President.
“A little more than a year after opening American Bank’s loan production office here, we are thrilled to have a new, permanent location at Concord Plaza,” said Wilkinson. “Shortly after opening in 2018, it became apparent that a full-service branch was going to be needed much sooner than originally planned, requiring more space and increased accessibility. The Concord Plaza location easily meets those requirements and more, as it is virtually in the heart of the city, is easy for our clients to get to when necessary and allows us to move about throughout the community and surrounding area conveniently,” she added. Staffed with Personal Bankers, Commercial Lending Officers, Treasury Management and Trust/Wealth Management associates, American Bank’s Concord Plaza office delivers a full suite of tailored business and personal financial solutions through highly experienced personnel who understand the San Antonio and Central Texas markets, many of them having worked together there for years.
“American Bank has had strong ties to the San Antonio area since its very beginning fifty years ago in Corpus Christi and has provided financial services in this market area for decades. It’s wonderful to be able to continue to serve those long-standing clients – and expand relationships with our newer clients – through a brick and mortar location. The future here is exciting for us,” Wilkinson stated.
In January 2018, the bank announced a five-year strategic plan designed to leverage its strength as a community bank and its reputation for solution-oriented banking relationships. One of the key elements of the bank’s vision includes growth and investment in existing markets such as Austin, Corpus Christi and Victoria, coupled with physical expansion into new markets including San Antonio and Houston, both of which took place in 2018.
