We’re Prepared and Here for You

Dear American Bank Client:

With all the news circulating about the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), it is important for you to know that our priority is the health, safety and well-being of our employees and clients and we are closely monitoring the situation.

As a client of American Bank, you can rest assured that your money will remain safe and accessible. Since 2007, when the H5N1 virus – or avian flu – spread throughout the globe, federal banking regulators have directed financial institutions to include pandemic planning as part of our overall business continuity plans. American Bank, like every U.S. bank, has a plan to address the threat of a pandemic outbreak and its potential impact on the delivery of critical financial services. Situations considered in our plan include potential staffing shortages; increased reliance on online banking, ATMs and telephone banking; conducting operations from alternative sites; and employee and client protection strategies, such as hand sanitizers.

Our team continues to monitor information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and follow their guidance. Prudent decisions made in an abundance of caution are wise and we will be assessing and adapting our plans as necessary.

Precautionary steps we have already begun to take include:

  • Increased cleaning and sanitizing for all locations
  • Providing our employees with information on steps they can take to prevent the spread of illness and how to recognize COVID-19 symptoms
  • Temporary restrictions on business-related travel and monitoring of the personal travel plans of our employees
  • Asking employees to stay home if they are ill
  • Making plans for our staff to work remotely, where possible

We will stay in touch as the situation develops. In the meantime, please remember that you can access your accounts and handle many of your banking, payment and cash transactions electronically through:

  • Our online and mobile banking platforms
  • ATMs
  • Debit cards
  • Online statements

If you have not yet registered for online banking and wish to do so, you can still register for Personal Online Banking or register for Business Online Banking.
