During the COVID-19 crisis, our goal is to find ways to ease any financial stress you may be experiencing. If adjustments to the banking services you currently have – or new services to meet unexpected circumstances – would be helpful, please contact us. It’s our privilege to work together with you to find solutions.

We have identified some specific ways we can help, including temporary fee waivers and payment deferrals. The details are outlined below. As time goes on, we may have additional solutions available and will update this page as needed.

  • Ready Cash Line of Credit – Effective through November 2, 2020: If you currently have a Ready Cash line of credit, you may request to have your monthly payment temporarily reduced to cover only the interest due.
  • Consumer Loan Payment Date Change or Payment Deferral – Effective through November 2, 2020: If making your consumer loan payment on the regular payment date or at the regular amount is creating a hardship for you, please talk to us about the possibility of changing the date or deferring a payment for up to 90 days.

  • Digital Deposit – Effective through November 2, 2020: The implementation fee to set up Digital Deposit for business clients is temporarily waived.
  • Mobile Deposit Limits – The standard limits for Mobile Deposits have been increased to $5,000 per day and $15,000 for the most recent 25-business day period. Higher limits, either temporary or permanent, may also be available on a case-by-case basis by contacting the bank.
  • Personal External Transfer Limits – Effective April 6, 2020: The standard limits for personal external transfers (transfers from your American Bank account to an account at another financial institution) have been increased from $2,500 to $5,000 per transaction, per day.
  • Zelle® Transaction Limits – Effective March 30, 2020: The standard limits for Zelle transactions have been increased from $750 to $1,000 per transaction. and from $1,500 to $2,000 per day. (Zelle is a Personal Mobile Banking solution for sending and receiving money available through the Personal Mobile Banking app. Learn more about using Zelle​​​​​​.)

The following fees have been temporarily waived or discontinued:

  • Check Card Replacements – Effective through November 2, 2020: There will be no charge to replace a Check Card.
  • Balance Inquiries Through Client Services – The fee to inquire about an account balance by phone to Client Services, after 5 free per month, is temporarily waived.
  • Telephone Transfer – Effective through November 2, 2020: The fee to transfer funds from one American Bank account to another through Client Services is temporarily waived.
  • CD Early Withdrawals – Effective through November 2, 2020: The early withdrawal fee for non-IRA Certificates of Deposit is temporarily waived.
