American Bank Adds Paula Ann Miller to Houston Regional Board

Native Houstonian and local business leader, Paula Ann Miller, was recently appointed to American Bank’s Houston Regional Board of Directors.
Miller is founder and President/CEO of P.A. Miller Consulting, Inc., a full-service accounting and consulting firm. With more than 30 years’ experience in financial consulting for law firms, private businesses, and Fortune 500 companies, she brings a deep knowledge of finance, accounting, audit, strategic planning, governance, and valuation to the Board. Miller has a passion for serving her community and her state, having served on numerous local boards and as a governor appointee to the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners. She was also named one of ‘Houston’s 50 Most Influential Women’ by Houston Woman Magazine in 2022 for her leadership in business and the community.

About Paula Ann Miller
Paula Ann Miller began her career at Coopers & Lybrand, currently PwC, and has accumulated 30 years’ experience in financial consulting for law firms, private industry, and Fortune 500 companies. Miller founded P. A. Miller Consulting, Inc. in 1995. With offices in Houston and New York City, she continues to serve as President and CEO.
Miller is a strong business leader with deep knowledge in strategic planning, finance, accounting, audit, due diligence, governance, compliance, cybersecurity, valuation, and restructuring across many industries. She graduated from the Owner President Management Program at Harvard Business School. Prior to that, Miller earned an MBA in Finance and a Master of Science in Accounting and Tax from the University of St. Thomas. She completed her undergraduate work at the University of Houston, earning a bachelor’s degree in Pre-Law and Criminal Justice.
Miller is a native Houstonian and has a passion for serving her community and the State of Texas. As an appointee of Governor Rick Perry, she served as a member of the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners (TBAE) and continued in this role under the leadership of Governor Greg Abbott. Miller was also elected to the Board of Directors for the Harvard Business School Club of Houston, serving as President for The Woodlands Chapter. She also served on the Board of Trustees for the Houston Ballet, on the Board of Directors for the Alley Theatre, and on the Board of Directors for the Texas Accountants and Lawyers for the Arts. Miller served on the Advisory Board of Directors for BBVA USA and remained on the board through the acquisition by PNC. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the World Affairs Council of Greater Houston. Miller was named one of ‘Houston’s 50 Most Influential Women’ by Houston Woman Magazine in 2022 for her leadership in business and the community.
