American Bank Welcomes Jon Morgan to Austin Team

American Bank is pleased to announce Jon Morgan has joined its Austin team as a Senior Vice President of Commercial Banking. Morgan will office at the bank’s Austin-Westlake headquarters located at 3520 Bee Caves Road, Suite 200. Making the announcement was John Greenwood, Market President for Austin.
With 28 years of banking experience, Morgan’s career has ranged from personal banker and credit analyst to branch manager and branch president. He has covered the spectrum of commercial banking and business development, with the majority of his career spent serving clients in the Austin area. Most recently, Morgan was Senior Commercial Real Estate Manager for a Texas regional bank.

About Jon Morgan
Jon Morgan joins American Bank as a Senior Vice President of Commercial Banking after spending the past 28 years serving the banking needs of clients throughout the Greater Austin area. During this time, he’s held several leadership roles, including Senior Commercial Real Estate Manager, Senior Vice President, and Branch President. Earlier in his career, Morgan spent nearly 10 years working for various financial institutions in the Dallas area.
In his new role at American Bank, Morgan will be responsible for supporting the banking and financial services needs of commercial banking clients throughout the Austin area.
Morgan holds an economics degree from Texas A&M University in College Station. He also completed Commercial Lending School at the Southwest Graduate School of Banking at SMU in Dallas. Morgan remains active in various community organizations, most recently serving as a board member for the Championship Hearts Foundation where he served for 11 years.
