VISIT USAmerican Bank is pleased to announce Marek Labedzki has joined its Houston team as Senior Commercial Lending Officer. Labedzki will office at the bank’s 3737 Buffalo Speedway location. Making the announcement was Charlie Phillips, Houston Market President for American Bank.
Labedzki is an accomplished banker who has worked in senior leadership roles for several mid-sized and large banks, spending the last 15 years serving clients in the Houston area. Throughout his career, Labedzki has developed extensive experience in business development and commercial banking, always with an emphasis on cultivating strong client relationships. Labedzki also adds a senior management perspective with his experiences in credit management, risk mitigation, and bank operations.

About Marek Labedzki
Marek Labedzki joins American Bank as Senior Commercial Lending Officer. Throughout his nearly 30 years of work experience, Labedzki has held several senior leadership positions in the banking industry at the vice president and senior vice president levels. He has worked for a variety of financial institutions, most recently at Amerant Bank and Veritex Community Bank, both in Houston. Earlier in his career, Labedzki was a personal banker and bank branch director.
In his new role at American Bank, Labedzki will support the banking and financial needs of commercial banking clients throughout the greater Houston area.
Labedzki holds a master’s degree in law from the Catholic University of Lublin (Poland), where he also studied American law in cooperation with the Chicago Kent College of Law. He has studied at the University of Oslo (Norway), and he was an international exchange student in Magee, MS during high school.
