What's changing for American Bank clients?
No Changes to Your Accounts
Your day-to-day banking experience will not change. American Bank's products and services will remain the same and you will continue to see the same friendly bankers you know and trust.
More Locations
With this acquisition, American Bank's branch network has grown to 18 locations. This includes seven locations in the San Antonio area, including one in New Braunfels. You now have more locations for your banking needs.
What's changing for TexStar National Bank clients?
A new name. A new look.
Texstar and American Bank have joined to form one bank, dedicated to serving you. TexStar's branch locations will rebrand to American Bank.
Debit Cards. Checks. Account Numbers.
Continue using your TexStar debit card, checks and account numbers. Your account number will not change. And your debit card and checks will continue to work at all American Bank locations. When you need to reorder checks, you will be issued American Bank checks.

All clients will be mailed a copy of American Bank's Conversion Guide in February 2023. This document will include detailed information about any banking changes that affect TexStar clients. Watch for a packet to be mailed to you in February 2023.
